Help / Getting started

Quick start

From a brand-new smart cube to your first recorded solve takes about a minute. Here’s the whole path.

1. Open the app and sign in

cubrs is account-based, so your solves, training, and rating follow you across devices. Open the app, create a free account or sign in, and you’re ready. Want to try the feel first? The keyboard demo runs without an account — but a real cube needs a real sign-in.

2. Connect your cube

Wake your smart cube by giving it a turn, then click Connect and pick your cube from the browser’s Bluetooth list. cubrs remembers it after the first time, so future sessions reconnect on their own. If nothing shows up, check supported browsers and connection troubleshooting.

3. Follow the scramble

The app shows a scramble and watches every turn as you apply it. Tracking is self-healing — a wrong turn won’t derail it; just undo and carry on. When the cube reaches the scrambled state, the timer arms.

4. Solve

Your first turn is t=0. Solve normally; the clock stops the instant the cube is solved. Your time, move count, TPS, and CFOP phase splits are recorded automatically — no button to press. Read how timing works for the accuracy details.

No cube yet? Our buying guide picks a smart cube for every budget, and any cube on the supported list works.

This browser can’t reach your cube.

cūbrs talks to smart cubes over Web Bluetooth, which lives in Chrome, Edge, and Opera on desktop. Safari and Firefox don’t ship it, and iPhones and iPads can’t run it at all — that’s Apple’s call, not ours.

One email with the link, nothing else. Or open the app anyway if you know your browser supports Web Bluetooth.
