Using cubrs
cubrs is a hands-free timer and trainer for Bluetooth smart cubes, with friends and leaderboards. You need an account to use the web app; the keyboard demo is available without one. Keep your login details secure — you’re responsible for activity on your account.
The service is provided as-is
We work hard to keep cubrs accurate and available, but it’s provided “as is,” without warranties. Smart-cube hardware, Bluetooth, and browsers vary, and some cubes are explicitly marked experimental. We’re not liable for lost solves, missed personal bests, or downtime, to the extent the law allows.
Fair play
Leaderboards exist to mean something, so they come with rules. A solve that counts on a public board must be a real, unassisted solve of the scramble the app gave you, on a supported smart cube, and it is recorded turn by turn so the server can check it. One account per person. Manipulating timing, spoofing cube data, sharing accounts, or otherwise faking solves can cost you your leaderboard entries or your account.
Friends, names and reports
Be decent to other players. You can remove friends, block anyone, and report a name, a result, or unwanted friend requests. We review reports and may change a display name, remove results from boards, or close an account that breaks these rules.
Free, Pro and the founding list
Everything in cubrs is free today and there is nothing to buy. A paid Pro plan is planned. Joining the founding list only means we email you when billing opens, with the founding-member offer; it does not commit you to anything. The terms for Pro, including cancelling and any founding-member price, will be added here before billing opens.
Your content
Your solves and training data are yours. You grant us the permission we need to store, process, and display them back to you and, if you turn on friends and leaderboards, to show your display name, division and best times to your friends and on the boards you appear on. See the privacy policy for what we store and how to delete it.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product grows. We’ll flag material changes rather than slip them past you.
