Fair play
Ratings only mean something if every rated solve is real. cubrs is built so that honesty is the default and cheating is hard to hide — turn by turn is the anti-cheat.
Every rated solve is replayable
Each rated solve is recorded as a telemetry replay — every turn with its timing — so any result can be played back move by move. Nothing about a rated solve is taken on trust; it’s all in the record.
Scramble verification
Before the clock arms, the app verifies you executed the scramble. You can’t start from a friendlier state than everyone else — the attempt only counts once your cube actually matches the scramble it was given.
Smart cubes only
Rated modes are smart-cube-only. A rated result needs a cube that reports its turns, because that turn stream is what makes the replay and the scramble check possible in the first place.
One account per person
One account per person. Ratings, placements, and league seats assume a single identity behind them, so smurfing and second accounts are against the rules.
Reports and enforcement
You can report a suspicious result. A report triggers a replay review plus a statistical review of the solver’s history. Confirmed violations forfeit the season — the rating, the league standing, the lot.
Camera policy
Camera is handled privacy-first:
- Opt-in live camera on any rated solve — you choose to turn it on.
- Required for one-handed events, where seeing the solve is part of the format.
- Live-only by default — the camera streams to spectators in the moment and nothing is saved.
- Recorded only if disputed — a clip is kept only when a solve is contested.
- A dispute clip is visible only to review and deleted after the dispute is resolved.
