Fair play

A leaderboard only means something if every time on it is real. A smart cube reports every turn with its timing, and that record is what cubrs checks.

The timer arms on the scramble

The app shows a scramble and watches your cube as you apply it. The timer arms only once your cube matches the scramble, and your first turn after that starts the clock. You can’t start from an easier state.

The server replays the solve

Every smart-cube solve is saved with its turn list: each turn and when it happened. For a solve to count on a public leaderboard, the server replays that turn list from the scramble and checks that it ends solved and that the time fits the turns.

Smart cubes only on public boards

Public boards count only smart-cube solves that pass that check. A solve that can’t be checked still counts in your own stats, but never on a public board.

One account per person

Leaderboards and divisions assume one person behind each account, so second accounts and shared accounts are against the rules.

Reports and blocks

You can report a name that is offensive, a result that looks like cheating, or unwanted friend requests. You can also block anyone, including a name on a board. We review reports and can remove results from boards, change a name, or close an account.
